Troubleshooting launch issue due to a non-English user name




If you are having BlueSky Statistics launch issue because your Windows account username contains one or more non-English characters then follow the steps below to resolve the issue.


Verify if you have one or more non-English characters in your user account name on Windows.

  1. Open Windows File Browser (see below)


2. Type %appdata% in the address bar of Windows File Browser and hit Enter key.


3. Check if your Windows account user name contains non-English characters.



OR



4. If you find that the Windows account user name contains non-English characters (example: one or more Chinese characters) then you need to create a new Windows user account with English characters only.


Creating Windows user account:

Note: The screenshots and the steps below are created using Windows 11.


1. Right click on Windows Start button and click ‘Settings’

2. Setting window will open. Locate ‘Other users’ under ‘Accounts’



3. Another page will appear. Click ‘Add account’ button to create a new user account. While creating a new user name only enter English characters.



4. Once the account gets created successfully. Log-off(or sign out) from the current user account. And login back using the new user account (that you just created above)


5. Now try to launch the BlueSky Statistics application.
